Hi friends! Happy Monday! I hope you had a good weekend! We did. There was a very slight break in the heat, and I spent some time at the pool then got out Saturday night to photograph a bunch of looks to share with you. I shot not one, but two perfect summer dresses.
You know I’m a huge fan of Victoria Dunn. I first shared one of her dresses here. This is a young designer out of Charleston, and she’s about the same age as my daughter, Katie. I love supporting a small, female owned business, and of course I feel a little motherly towards her, and want her to succeed. The first of these perfect summer dresses, is the Sullivans Swing dress. For those women who don’t love showing their arms, this is a good option. However, you’ll want to be on the shorter side for this dress. I’m 5’3″, and it’s slightly shorter than I would normally wear, but I love it so much, I can’t help myself.
All of the Victoria Dunn dresses I’ve received, have been fully lined. That is something I totally appreciate. I hate having to fool with a slip, and when a dress is a white cotton, it tends to be see through, particularly in the sunlight.
OH…AND I’m wearing the same sandals, just in different heels heights. They are both Dolce Vita and I love them. They are comfortable, easy to walk in and go with everything.

This longer dress is the Magnolia Garden Flutter Dress, and it’s one of my absolute favorite dresses. I have it in a green and pink colorway as well. This style dress is extremely flattering when you are slightly pear shaped, and/or have a smaller rib cage/mid-section like I do. It accentuates and draws attention to the smallest part of my body, and I love that.
I’d say if you are looking for a pretty, perfect summer dress, to look no further. These Victoria Dunn dresses fit the bill, and you won’t pass someone wearing the same dress…most likely. There’s nothing wrong with wearing the dresses from our favorite stores, but sometimes it’s nice to have something a little different that stands out, and is eye catching.
