Happy Monday friends! Last week I was part of a summer accessory share on Instagram. My day was Friday and I shared several ways to achieve easy summer accessorizing a LBD…little black dress. I realized this would make a great post for y’all. Most of you probably have a basic black t-shirt dress in your closet, but if you don’t, you just might want to change that after seeing this post. I have this one, but here are several options for you to look at.

Before we get started, if you are interested in seeing my share day, it’s saved on one of my Instagram highlights. You can also click here and see it.
I came up with three basic variations. I started with a basic black t-shirt dress and added easy, basic jewelry and shoes. You can take a little black t-shirt dress and one of the easiest ways to style it is to add a denim jacket. This one is from Chico’s and I love it. It’s got a nice stretch, and is very comfortable. Some denim jackets are stiff and confining, but not this one. It’s on sale (51% off) and sizes are going fast. A denim jacket is an easy layer and when the temperatures warm up, you can tie it around your waist for a different look.
Another easy option is to add a belt. I purchased this 4 pack from Amazon. They are a little stretchy, you can “make the hole” where ever you want, and there is a little slide ring to hold the end of the belt in place. The pack comes with 3 solids and this print. They are individually wrapped and would make great girlfriend gifts to divide up. Just add a few other accessories for a great theme gift. I also found this great straw tote. The quality is really good, and the size is nice and roomy. The handle is also fun, because it’s wrapped in 3 neutral colors for a fun touch.

The last thing I did was add a kimono/ruana. This one is from Chico’s (shocking?) Not only do I love the colors in it, but it has a few details I haven’t seen on others. There is an elastic inset on the back that adds a little structure and it keeps it from being too flowy. It also has pockets and I’m not the only person who loved it, because I checked and it’s sold out. WOMP-WOMP! (I’m linking some similar options) For another variation, I tied it up in front. OH, and let me tell you about the straw hat. I l o v e the style, and it’s only $10. Can you believe that? It’s packable too…so you can put it in your suitcase without worrying about totally ruining it.

Here are all the looks in one place, and an easy PIN for Pinterest. ??

What’s your favorite out of all of these easy looks for summer accessorizing a LBD? If you don’t already have a little black t-shirt dress, did I convince you that you need one?
Do you like it better when I link things right under the photos or with the shopping widgets or both?? Let me know your thoughts, and what’s feels easier to shop.

I love it with the jean jacket.
So cute and great way to show all the versatility of a simple LBD!

All of these are great ideas! You just sold me on those belts by telling me that have a tab to hold the end in place! I hate when a belt flops around.
I really, really liked that about them too. They also go with so many things. XOXO
Great ideas for mixing up a LBD! Love it with that bright kimono! So cute!
Thanks Laura! That kimono is so good. XO
