Friday Favorites and a Giveaway

Hey y’all! Happy Friday! Today I’ve got some Friday Favorites to share with you and a giveaway. Who doesn’t love a giveaway? I’m always up for trying to win something.

Linking up for…

More goodness from Soma. Check out the back of this darling pajama cami. The lace is so pretty and feminine. These are both pieces that can mix and match. I am really obsessed with these pj’s, and just want to keep buying more and more. Luckily, Soma runs a lot of sales.

I took this selfie last week when I was walking in Nashville. If you are a fan of country music, then you most likely know about The Bluebird Cafe. It’s within walking distance of Katie’s apartment, and I walked by it several times when I was out for my morning walk. Of course I had to stop and take a selfie. One of these days when I’m there (and there’s no pandemic), I want to get tickets to The Bluebird. Katie tried to get some for Mother’s Day last year, and didn’t have any luck.

Ta-da! These are the winners in the running shoe department. I went back to my first love, Saucony. Here’s what I love about them. They cradle my heal, and feel nice and sturdy with a good amount of cushion. The toe box is also a little more narrow than the Brooks, which works well for my narrow feet. (read about Brooks shoes here) Did you know when you order from Zappos, that they have a 30 day run guarantee? You can take them for a test run for up to 30 days, and then if they aren’t for you, you can send them back for a refund. I love that. Let’s face it, you never know how a running shoe is going to work for you until you’ve taken them out on the road for some miles.

I recently got a new workout top from Athleta. It’s cropped and looks cute with shorts or leggings. The armholes are cut deep, and you can see your cute sports bra underneath. The material is stretchy, wicking, and dries super fast, so it’s cute and functional all at the same time. These Nike shorts are a couple of years old, and I have them in several colors. Call me old school, but these are my favorite workout shorts.

I’m probably late to the game (literally), but while we were in Nashville we played Bananagrams. I can’t believe I’ve never played this before. I actually was somewhere recently and even saw them on sale, and almost bought them. Now I wish I had. I am the worlds worst speller, and I won the first two games. LOL Who am I?

I needed a new bronzer, so I ordered this one. I really (really) like it. The color is nice and subtle, the consistency is silky and I swear it smells so good, like summer. I know that sounds weird, but you’ll just have to go with me on this one.

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve run across Banangrams here and there. Next time I see one on sale, I’ll be snatching it up. XO

Oh my goodness – the picture of the Bluebird brought back some great memories! We live in St. Louis and have driven to Nashville just to wait outside in line hoping to get in. We’ve tried numerous times to get tickets online with no luck. We get there early and just wait in line. It’s worth it!

One of these days, I’ll have to do the same thing. I bet it’s just so fun! XO

Great favorites, so glad you got to Nashville. The bronzer sounds really good, I have (a new one) and it’s not silky, but I love the color.

I’ll have to say, the texture of this one is probably the best I’ve ever used. XO

We have Bananagrams, so now I need to go find them for this weekend! 🙂 Also, which shade of the PF Bronzer are you using? On the Ulta site I can’t tell if light bronzer or just bronzer might be better to try.

Hi Sandra! This color is just bronzer (#6676). It’s a good subtle color. Hope y’all are doing well. XOXO

Soma pjs are the best! We used to play Bananagrams all of the time. I completely forgot about that game and need to find it!

I’ve been to Nashville once, but I really want to go back someday. Visiting The Bluebird would be awesome, though I do hear it’s tough to get tickets!

I love it when stores really stand behind their products that much you so can try them out and even return them if they don’t work out. My local running store is like that and it makes me feel so much more confident in my purchases!

Me too, especially pricey items like running shoes. XO
