Glo Skin Review

Have you heard of Influenster? I don’t remember how I learned about it and I wasn’t really sure what it was at first or how to describe it. Here’s the description according to Google.  Influenster (n.) A community of over 3 million social savvy shoppers that: Stay on top of the latest product news & expert tips. Review products, share honest opinions with brands and the community. Test products for free based on social media influence.

They do this through what they call a VoxBox. An InfluensterVoxBox is a box full of full-sized free products that you get to review and keep. These boxes are often based on a theme but are sometimes a single product or group of products from the same company

I of course love the idea of getting free products to try so I signed up. Before they send you a box you go on the site and complete little surveys called “snaps”. I wrote several reviews for products I had used and I think this is something you need to do before they send you any products to try. You can review all sorts of things. Not just beauty related, but also home, food, pet products, etc…

A couple of weeks ago I received an email that I would be receiving a VoxBox in the mail to try and review.

My box contained 2 full size products from a company I wasn’t familiar with.

Glo Skin Beauty.

I received a cleanser and a lip stick.

Now you girls know I love my Rodan + Fields so I was a little leery of trying another brands cleanser, but it is actually perfect because before I use my cleansing mask or exfoliator from R+F, I like to first remove my makeup to keep from grinding it into my face. I’ve been using my Micellar Water for this and still like it but was excited to give this cleanser a try.

I love the packaging and container these products came in. Clean looking and classy. That may sound funny, but just like everything else in life it’s aesthetics that usually catch our eye first.

So first off, I love a pump container that can be used with one hand and won’t be a mess. This cleanser is very silky and creamy.

It makes a nice foam and has a pleasant, clean smell. Not overwhelming. I really liked the way my skin felt after washing it. Clean and soft and it looked brighter. So I really liked everything about it, but I feel like it’s more than I’d pay for something I’d be using as a “pre-cleanser”. I’ll stick to my Micellar Water at a much more affordable price.

I have been on the hunt for a new lipstick and so I was thrilled to receive one to try. I don’t know about you, but finding a good color for my lips is a real challenge. I find one I like and wear it forever or until they quit making it. This lipstick is a creamy, matte finish and so I like to put a gloss over it, but it goes on and stays on well. Even better than liking the lipstick itself I love the container…it’s magnetic so the top goes right on and you don’t have to worry about it coming off in your purse.

This color is called Pillow Talk…ooh-la-la😉 I’m currently keeping it in my purse and using it frequently.

Are any of you “Influensters”? Are you interested in joining a community where you can review, read reviews and try new products? If so, this just might be for you. This is not a sponsored post for Influenster, just an informative, sharing post.

What are your thoughts on these products? I’d love to know or tell me if you’ve even heard of them or tried them.
