Remixing Old Pieces

I don’t know about you, but I tend to wear the same outfit the same way and not make the most of my individual pieces of clothing. Well not yesterday. I was combing through my closet trying to decide what to put on came up with a new “combo”. I was just running out to do a few errands and then coming home to do stuff around the house and wanted to look casual, but put together. I think I pulled it off. LOL

 shoes / jeans /  tank options 1, 2 / military jacket 1, 2, 3 / necklace

Most of these pieces are from last year with the exception of the shoes and jacket and the jacket is sold out, but I’m linking several great alternatives if you didn’t grab this one while it was on sale. A military jacket is truly a great staple to have in your closet. These shoes…well, this was the 3rd time I’d worn my new wedges since getting them over the weekend so I know they are a now a new “go to”.

To switch up my daily dose of denim I decided to forgo the usual skinny jeans and grab these girlfriend jeans. There are girlfriend and boyfriend jeans. Jeans are so confusing. HA. I think girlfriend are relaxed with being quite as baggy as the boyfriend cut and are a little more figure flattering. I forgot what it was like to wear jeans that are looser in the legs it’s been so long…hahaha. I guess I should branch out and shop my closet a little more often.

My wedges are from Macy’s and they are still having a terrific shoe sale. Buy 3 or more pairs and get 40% off, 2 pairs get 30% off and buy one pair and get 25% off.  These wedges are really are great alternative to some of the more expensive counter parts available this season.

(yes, I should have carried my other purse to match my shoes…oh well)

So take a look around your closet and grab some pieces you haven’t worn together to create a new outfit. Easier said than done, I know.

Today is Wednesday…so you know what that means!

Tomorrow we go to see the kids. Insert all the praise hands here!

Happy hump day friends!

An utility jacket is always versatile. I love the pairing of olive with coral. Nice casual look. =)

I went through my closet and started pulling pieces I haven't worn lately and made it a point to find a way to wear to hem or mix them in with my regulars, too. I was hoping to put my jackets away for the year, but our mornings have still been in the 60s, so out they stay- but at least they're cute! Safe travels tomorrow!

I need to go through my closet. I'm like you, I tend to wear the same things, the same way all of the time. I've been trying to challenge myself to step out of my box more! Love your girlfriend jeans!

Thanks Brooke! Maybe I'll save some money too? if I shop my closet first.

That jacket is my favorite color. Anytime I see clothes of that color, I snatch them up quickly. I need to work on my closet and get all of my winter clothes moved out of the way so I can see what I have to work with.

It's such a great neutral. I can remember a time when I wouldn't have even considered wearing that color, but now I love it!! Hope you're having a great day!
